This is a nice example of a rather rare technique of producing glass, pate de verre. French artists such as G Argy Rousseau and Almeric Walter produced pate de verre. Frederick Carder and Edris Eckhardt also produces these wares. This lamb measures 5 7/8" long and stands 4" tall. The colors in the piece are almost a metallic blue and green with nice details. It getting harder to find works from this Cleveland artist. One ear appear to have given her difficulty in production. The edge appears to have been smoothed, with an open bubble and a small nick remaining. I do believe that this occurred during production as opposed to afterward. Otherwise, it is in good condition. It is properly signed Edris Eckhardt on the bottom.
