Primitive Tobacco Cutter--Farm Tool

This early primitive tobacco cutter was used in the tobacco fields of the South to harvest the tobacco. It has the curved blade inserted neatly in the slot in the hardwood handle and bolted thru the handle with metal plates on each side. It has a wonderful patina, the blade is sharp and the handle is in excellent condition with the usual age appropriate checking. The handle measures 16 inches long and the blade is 12 inches.
