Pleased to offer a delightful sentimental, memorial brooch from the Edwardian era!
It is a swivel brooch with brown, neatly woven hair on one side and a photo of a toddler on the other side, both framed in glass. Choose which side to wear in front!
Made in pinchbeck, The outer rim is embossed with florals and the inner rim is enameled with green, gold, and blue flowers on a black background.
I love the oval shape! This charming brooch measures 2" across and 1 1/2" down. It has an older thumb clasp. The point of the pin juts out beyond the brooch further defining its age.
The condition is remarkably good with just a few minor issues; tiny speck of white powder inside the glass holding the hair (can easily be removed), slight discoloration to the pinchbeck---which might clean-up, and slight wear to the enamel on the foliage--minor and hard to see.
I mention these for accuracy purposes. They do not detract from the integrity if this brooch.
