Nice earlier chalk ware plaque from around the early 1940's of a romantic courting couple, with hooped skirts, flower arbor, all very "Gone With the Wind" inspired. With its sunny scene the plaque is very charming, and has aged to a lovely soft yellow cream. In good overall order there are a couple of minor areas of discoloration, and a tiny rub to the ladies nose, but these are not noticeable on display and there are no major chips or damage at all, it measures approx 10 1/2" diameter. The plaque is easily mounted on an integral wire loop set into the chalk, and displays beautifully.
