Victorian Needlepoint Purse with Figural Frame and Book Chain Handle
Late 19th Century Needlepoint purse in black with multicolor flowers. Purse has a highly ornate frame with North Wind figure, stylized birds and flowers, and a book chain handle. Interior is lined in a heavy satin. The bag shows wear to the body commensurate with age, but is basically sturdy and shows well. I have displayed on a coat hook with old hats and a Victorian parasol, and it looked wonderful.
