Large 24 Bottle Carved & Pegged Hand Made Walnut Wine Rack

Superb chip carved and pegged hand made walnut wine rack, measuring 28" long by 9" wide by 25" tall that will take up to 24 bottles. The rack has a wonderful deep color, I estimate it dates to the middle of last century but it could be earlier, I think it is probably continental in make, most likely from Northern Europe, I could not find another quite like it.........

The rack is beautifully constructed, it has horizontal bars that slide in and then fastened with pegs, this means that the whole rack can be disassembled to store if needed, it would also be very useful if you were in the military and need to move quite often. All the surfaces have a "primitive" chip carved finish, all beautifully done and very fine.

This is one of the nicest wine racks I have had, it is a beautifully sculptured item with great visual presence, it would be lovely left out in a living dinning area, where I am sure it would get many compliments.
