Stone Mountain Confederate Memorial Cast Bell with Cannon
Interesting Stone Mountain Confederate memorial bell, with a civil war cannon as the handle, a small embossed foundry stamp showing the Stone Mountain carving and PAT PEND marked to the side. The bell measures 4 1/2" tall, it is earlier vintage (a small attached hand written paper label suggests 1934, which seems probable) it is very detailed and a fine casting, I am not sure of the metal, which has patina, it is either brass or brass coated iron, it only has one wheel, but may have been cast that way, as the patina is even over the whole area. An unusual tourist item, this would make a nice addition to a Civil War or bell collection, I couldn't find another on the internet, so rather more rare.
