Early Cast Iron Match Safe with Spent Match Holder

Simple box shaped early cast iron mach safe with hinged lid and spent match slot in the back, dating to around the middle of the 19th century. The safe has a hinged lid with serrations to strike the matches on, and an integral hanging loop to the back. The box has decoration or makers marks, this is a true utility item, it measures 2 3/4" wide by 2 1/2" tall by 2 3/4" deep, and has very slight age related corrosion to the interior, otherwise very good with no chips, cracks or other damage.
