Superb Majolica Strawberry Leaf 8 1/2" Bowl, Speckled Back!
Superb Majolica strawberry leaf plate or shallow bowl measuring a lovely large 9" diameter by 1 1/2" deep. The bowl has a speckled back and a double leaf pattern to the front, I estimate it dates to the late 1800's. In fine condition, there are no chips, damage or cracks, there are a couple of areas where the glaze has discolored slightly, and some fine overall crazing, particularly to the front, both are typical of this type of wear, and overall I would class the bowl as good to excellent.
