1913 "Friendship Poem" Embossed Postcard
Friendship's an abstract of this noble flame.
Tis Love refined, and purged from all its dross,
Tis next to angel's love, it not the same,
As strong as passion is, though not so gross.
Lovely postcard with poem greeting and gilding, postmarked May 26th 2pm 1913, with a one cent George Washington stamp. Condition good, some cracking/bending in left hand top corner, some wear to corners. Writing is in pencil.
