Lovely Rose Brimmed 1960's Fine Straw Cloche Hat by Dovedown
This is such a pretty and elegant hat, dating to around the early 1960's, of fine blonde straw, with an soft cloche shape with down slanting short brim and upright crown. The brim of the hat is loaded with soft creamy white roses with green foliage, mounted on a beige velvet band, the overall effect is tonal, feminine and sophisticated. The inner brim measures 21", though I would say the fit would be somewhat flexible as the hat perches slightly. The hat is in good estate order with no damage, it looks virtually unworn, with just the slightest signs of aging to the materials. Lovely hat if you want to dress up but still look totally adult and polished, this contrives to be feminine without being girly.
