Older Vintage Glass with Sterling Overlay Shriner Masonic Ashtray
Interesting older vintage Shriner Masonic ashtray dating to around the 1950's, of heavy glass with sterling silver overlay, and measuring approx 6" diameter. The ashtray has the Masonic Shriner's emblem in which the scimitar stands for the members (the backbone of the fraternity), the two-claws represent its philanthropy, the sphinx represents the organizations governing body, while the star hanging beneath represents the children helped by the philanthropy every year. The ashtray is in good estate order with no chips or cracks, just slight age appropriate wear to the silver overlay.
