I purchased a number of beautiful antique tureens from a recent estate sale at a local large old house, the tureens are all in blue and cream with gilt accents, no two are exactly alike, but they are all co-originated, and were obviously used together.
This tureen is round and measures 9 1/2" diameter, by 5 1/2" to the top of the handle. The tureen is cream in color with navy blue bands finished in gold, and gilt accents to the handle. The overall condition is good, with some signs of minor wear and crazing to the ceramic and gilding, and some minor manufacturing flaws - one on base, clearly seen in photo, but no chips, or other significant damage.
Very elegant shape, made by Regal Pottery of Cobridge, Stoke on Trent, England, I estimate that this particular tureen dates to circa 1910-20.
This is a very functional and attractive tureen, if you wish to purchase more than one of the tureens I have listed, I will be happy to combine shipping.
