Nice pair of vintage cast brass candlesticks, measuring 10" tall, good heavy weight for the size, probably made in India in around the 1960's (definitely not the thin modern brass type). The candlesticks are very traditional looking, they have a hexagonal base and beehive section to the middle, at first glance they look Victorian, and only show their later origin on close inspection. The casting is a little cruder than their antique counterparts, there is a small separation to the seam near the base (see photos) but this is not structural and does not show on display, and they are very solid and attractive. Perfect candlesticks for the winter, I can see them polished up with red or green candles, very festive.
