Really beautiful gilt hand painted Noritake bowl with undulating form and 4 small cabriole feet. Design is of yellow roses set against green leaves with dark lavender shadows. Bowl is marked with the pale green 1918 back-stamp of 1918, which is transitional from the Nippon Era to Deco Era. Condition is good as to age, there are a couple of very tiny rubs in the design, which even the highly magnified camera image did not pick up. There is slight wear to the gilding. Very pretty early Nippon that displays beautifully. Bowl measures approx 4" tall by 8" wide at the point of the handle.
