This is a collection of song arrangements from operas written by William Schwenck Gilbert and Arthur Seymour Sullivan. The words and the music of one hundred and two songs from eleven operettas. Edited by Deems Taylor, illustrated by Lucille Corcos, arrangements by Dr. Albert Sirmay. The chapters include background information on each opera and a synopsis of the story, followed by the scores. In a note on page , Mr. Sirmay explains that these are all-new arrangements designed to be easily playable at home by casual pianists with "average" musical ability.
This book is in fair condition with normal wear to the top and tail of the binder, the corners are worn. The binding is beginning to break away from the pages but is easily fixed see photos for detail. The pages are all there and in good condition no marks or tears though they do have scattered foxing. There is no printing on the front cover, but the title is printed in faded gold ink on the spine -see photos as part of the description.
