This rare pair of amazing 1880's Victorian garter bracelets are featuring an intricately carved cameo slide on each bracelet. This matched pair has the cameo's looking at each other. The slides are also etched as you can see by the pictures. These wedding day bracelets are 10k yellow gold with a touch of pink. The bracelets are not marked but electronic testing revealed that they are 10k gold on the cameo's and the chain mesh is 10k G.F. One bracelet weighs 19.7 grams total weight and the other one weighs 19.4 grams total weight. Together that's 39.1 grams. The carved cameos are 10mm high and 8mm wide. The main mounting is 21mm high and 16mm wide. The length of the mesh chain including the tassels measures 9-1/2" long by .5" wide. Adjusted to its maximum, it could fit a wrist or arm of 8.5 inches in circumference. It could be adjusted down to an extremely small size -- easily fitting a 5.5 inch wrist or smaller. Over all both bracelets are in good shape. The tassels have some greening on them. One bracelet is missing one tassel. The perfect one has 8 tassels and the other has 7 tassels. All the little balls on the tassels are present. The slides work perfect and the chains have no breaks or links missing. They need a good cleaning but I will let the new owner do that. The cameos are perfect with no chips or scratches. Will make a great addition to any fine costume jewelry collection.
