Vintage Norway Jakob Tostrup "THISTLE" Enamel Spoon Set Sterling Silver
These dainty and elegant demitasse spoons are by Jakob Tostrup of Norway. Made of sterling silver, the spoons are finished with vitreous glass (kiln-fired) enamel or guilloche colors in pale green, dark green, royal blue, light blue, and yellow on their handle. The top of the handle is in the form of a thistle. Measuring 3 3/4", the spoon is in excellent condition. Each spoon weighs around 8.0 grams total weight. The back of the handle is signed "sterling J.Tostrup Norway" along with Tostrup's mark of a tankard. These spoons are an excellent example of Scandinavian enamel guilloche
from the 1940's and 1950's.
