Vintage Gem Craft Christmas Angel 3-D Floating on Stars Rhinestones

The poem "Star Light Star Bright" comes to mind when I look at this adorable brooch by Craft. Interesting provenance about this mark has come to light. The company called Gem-Craft Corp from Providence/Cranston, RI started in 1945 and are still going. The Craft mark is dated as of 1979. Jewelry marked Craft also appeared on cards marked Gemelli. Jewelcraft is also a mark owned by Gem-Craft as of 2006, which was originally used by Coro in 1920. Jewelcraft was founded by none other that Gene & Alfeo Verri-short for Verrecchia-the famed Coro head designers for over 30 years. With Jewelcraft, they made jewelry for Kenneth J. Lane, Capri, R. Mandle, Tancer, Kramer & Cadoro! So after WWII, Verri had his own jewelry company while still working for Coro. It's all tied under Gem-Craft Corp now. This darling pin measures 1 3/4 inches wide and the same in height. It is very multi-dimensional almost 3-D with delightful details adding personality. A great Christmas pin for ages to come.
