Taxco Mexico VINTAGE Modern Modernist Early PIN "PINWHEEL" Amethyst Cabochon Vintage Brooch

This great signed Mexico Sterling pin shows a state of the Art Modernist movement piece. The 3-D stylized pinwheel looking pin has a natural domed cabochon of amethyst that measures 10mm around. Made in the early 1940's the pin has a great natural patina. Has EAGLE# 1 signed JH in a circle that reads STERLING 925 MEXICO. JH might be the signature of Jaimes Hernandez who did allot of abstract realistic silver jewelry. Weighs 8.7 grams of silver. Measures 1-3/4 inches around. Closing clasp works well and closes tight. A GREAT piece of early Mexican folk art with allot of work and detail that is so famous for this time period. Will make a great addition to any fine jewelry or costume jewelry collection.
