A lovely porcelain dresser jar of Madame Pompadour, wearing a yellow gown and holding a fan, with her other arm at her waist. Her black hair is adorned with flowers and her face is delicately painted.
Marked "Madame Pompadour Dresser Dolls Erphila", she dates from the 1920's - 1930's.
Unlike smaller versions, she is 7" tall, and 4 1/4" X 3 1/2" at the bottom of the jar.
In very nice condition, there is some paint loss on the back of her dress, on her left arm, and a few tiny bits on the base, as pictured. The back of the base also shows a 1/8" chip. Otherwise fine, with crazing or scratches. Very displayable.
