Vintage Estate Garnet Cocktail Cluster Ring Big Bold Beautiful 14kt Yellow Gold

Fresh to Ruby Lane from an older Kentucky estate. This belonged to the first female professor of a major university here. She did a great deal of work in behalf of women's rights in the 1960's with the United Nations. A work of art. This absolutely stunning cocktail ring belonged to her. Big...bold...and stunning. Tested and stamped 585 (14 kt) yellow gold and a maker's mark that looks like LY. 9 large garnets set in a high dome. Breathtaking on. Approx. size is a 5 3/4. Approx. 9.2 grams with stones.
