Vintage Hat with Great Style and Flair in Goldenrod Yellow with Trimmed with Naugahyde Faux Leather

This hat is so interesting and a great choice for vintage clothing aficionados.

The goldenrod color is perfect for a hat with such an unusual brim. Featuring a label that reads Coronet, Fifth Avenue New York the hat is made from felted wool and yet, has that Western feel to its design.

This lovely vintage hat is probably from circa 1960-1965 since it features that wonderful brilliant gold color and the trim that appears to be leather is actually naugahyde!

Naugahyde was originally developed around 1936. During the early 1960s, it was used extensively in furnishings as well as in fashion. In a marketing campaign, the amusing claim was that this faux leather actually came from the animal called a Nauga. Eventually, this became an urban myth and many people actually believed Naugas existed.

When in fact, this trim is very exacting in its look and now would be considered "Green" and highly fashionable since no animals were harmed to create this wonderful, stylish vintage hat!

This hat should fit sizes 21 to 22 or 53.5 to 56 cm. Please note that it is a tight fit on a size 22 or 56 cm. If you have concerns, please inquire prior to purchase.
