Victorian Scottish Agate Superbly Engraved Silver Brooch
This is an ornate, superbly crafted Victorian silver Scottish agate brooch.
The fine stones used for this brooch are carnelian colored jasper and green bloodstone. The silver setting surrounding the stones has a superbly chased, tiered border with a hand embossed oval center design.

The brooch carries no hallmarks as is common for many brooches of this period, but it has been fully tested for silver. The length is 1 3/8 inch; width is 1 inch, and the brooch weighs an impressive 7.5 grams. The pin and C clasp are secure.
This is a superb Scottish agate brooch with very fine detail in the silver work.
