Art Deco Era Chinese Silver Jade Turtle Compartment Ring

This very cool and unique silver and I believe, jade, stone turtle compartment, locket, or poison ring was most likely created in the 1930's China. The ring front measures 1 1/8" from the tip of the head to the tail and 5/8" wide. The inside compartment has a gilt finish. The compartment seems to stay closed, although I don't hear (or feel) a snap when I close it. The ring measures about a size 8.75 now, but it has an adjustable shank. The shank is out of round, but the ring is quite comfortable. Marked "Silver".
