LALIQUE FOR NINA RICCI - RARE 8" Perfume - L'Air du Temps 8oz Perfume - Unopened with Neiman Marcus Gift Ribbon (Not a Factice)

RARE 8" NINA RICCI L'Air du Temps Perfume - Unopened Lalique Falcon comes in its Original Yellow Box with its Yellow Satin Display Box inside and its Neiman Marcus Gift Presentation Ribbon. Gut Seal and Gold String are intact and the perfume shows no sign of evaporation. Lalique Kissing Doves Falcon is 8" tall containing 8-0z. perfume. Falcon is in mint condition as it has been kept dark and cool in it's original large yellow box most of its life. This presentation was a limited edition from the 1960s.

The L'Air du Temps scent was created for Nina Ricci by Roure perfumer Francais Fabron and launched in 1948. The dove bottle, first introduced in 1951, has existed in several configurations. The initial falcon was designed by Jean Rebull with a single dove. Later the design was modified by Robert Ricci, Nina Ricci's son, and his friend Marc Lalique into the famous double dove design.

The L'Air du Temps scent is one of the best examples of perfume structured on the method of Roure perfumer-teacher, Jean Carles' "Pyramid" (shown in my 9th picture); i.e., the top note being a fleeting scent of gardenia and bergamot; the heart spicy carnation backed by jasmine, rose, yang-ylang and orris; and, a solid, lingering base note of sandalwood and musk.

The larger 12.8" falcon is often taken for a factice but it held Eau de Toilette.

Pristine Vintage Condition.
