Jade Dragon Necklace

I found this beautifully carved piece of brown jade in China. It is carved in the traditional design with cut outs around the dragon so it will really stand out against what you wear with it. The dragon sits inside the circle and s topped with a brown jade bead. The jade is 2 1/2" in diameter and drops 3" from a natural leather cord. The black cord can be adjusted in length from 16" to 32" using slip knots. This is a unique piece that will go from casual to more dressed up - you can wear it short or long depending on what you wear it with.

The dragon is the imperial emblem of the Emperors from the Han period, the coat of arms being two dragons contesting the fiery pearl. The dragon, a supernatural creature, is the symbol of power, strength, wisdom and goodness and represents the utmost in attainment: good luck and success in life. It is also believed to be the guardian of hidden treasures. It represents the spirit of growth and change.

Worn by Imperial families for centuries, jade is a very spiritual stone.
