This is a vintage comforter from the 30s, the Hollywood Glamour Era, when bedrooms were full of satin. This piece is a peachy pink and is machine quilted. It measures approx. 69 x 79 inches. It is filled with cotton batting and is fairly thick.
This piece is not in perfect condition. It was probably used near a window and shows some fading (one side is worse than the other, as seen in photos). It also has some water rings and some blue ink marks (also seen in photos). It has some tiny pin holes as well (I also tried to show some of these in the photos) and one larger hole that needs to be mended (smaller than a dime). There is a small era on the edge that has come unstitched (shown in last photo).
The pictures show the bed spread to be a little less peach toned than it actually is. The last photo shows the color better than the others. I have not tried to launder this piece. Some of the fading would probably even out if it was cleaned. Also, the water rings would probably go away if it was cleaned. The oder of it is not too bad, it just has an old fabric smell. It comes from a smoke free home, so it does not have a smoke odor.
Please look at photos closely before purchasing. I tried to show damage in the photos.
