Wedgwood Gray or Grey and White Queensware Pitcher, 1936
This is a Wedgwood Queensware pitcher in the hard-to-find gray shade. It has the gray base color and a grapevine wreath border around the rim with scenes of women, children and cherubs around the base of the pitcher.
Size: 4 5/8" tall x 2 3/8" across the opening, just under 4" handle to spout and 2 7/8" across the foot.
The base is clearly marked Wedgwood of Etruria and Barlaston Made in England Embossed Queens Ware and has an impressed 36.
No chips, cracks or creaks, but there is a small mark on the inside of the pitcher, like a stain. This is a very pretty pitcher.
