Arthur J Wilkinson Maple serving platter in green

This is a very pretty green transferware platter by Arthur J Wilkinson. It is the Maple pattern, which was normally produced in deep slate flow blue, but this is more of a flow green. It is a border pattern featuring clusters of leaves and flowers. I think it used to have a meat drainer as it is a very deep platter for its size.

Age and maker: Arthur J Wilkinson and based on the mark, this piece dates to the 1901 to the 1910s.

Condition issues: There are a few utensil marks, a couple of scratches on the rim from a wire plate hanger that must have been used to display it once, and an area of crazing on the back with some stains.

Size: 18 1/2" x 15" and nearly 2" deep.

This pretty, very usable green transferware platter would make a nice addition to your table.
