These silvertone earrings with blue acrylic stones are from the late 70s or early 80s. A striking blue color, the simulated stone has a satiny finish similar to a polished wood which can also be seen from the open back. It appears to be made from the same types of acrylic blocks used to make fine writing pens. The heavy silvered base metal earring frame has a classic style, with pierced posts and a flat cap back to hold the earrings securely upright and on your ear.
Size: ~1 1/4" in diameter
Weight: 25.5g (pair), ~12.3g per earring
These appear to have been barely worn, no marks to the stone or frame.
They are very striking and would be perfect for that special event.
