Grindley Marie Flow Blue Dessert Dish, 1895
The serving dish is 11 1/8" by 8" in a diamond shaped with scalloped edges. The pattern is from a line of patterns which did not make dinner dishes in this shape, but did make dessert sets in the same patterns, using unusual shapes like this one as dessert serving pieces. This piece could have been from a dessert service or tea service.
The dish is in mint condition--it's only flaws are three stilt marks on the back of the dish. No chips, cracks and no crazing.
It is a beautiful piece in an unusual shape by a premier pottery maker and would make a lovely addition to your flow blue collection.
