Brass and Copper scoop or dipper, very old

This well-used, hefty brass scoop or dipper has an iron handle with copper screws/bolts attaching the handle to the scoop. The size is small for a jam pot, but may well have been used for chocolate making or for homemade medicine making.

Note the small spout molded into the edge for pouring a fine stream, which would have been needed for both chocolate making and pouring a brewed medicine into a bottle.

Condition issues: Corrosion on the handle and tarnished metal.

Size is ~ 5" x 14" and it weighs ~ 2 lbs.
