The outstanding craftsmanship and quality is obvious in this rare Sterling Silver teapot with an elegant finial representing an Acorn. Just Beautiful! The handle is silver with 2 Ivory rings around it to absorb the heat and keep the handle cool. The marks represent the teapot to be London, circa 1824 made by RA&WS (Richard William Atkins & William Nathaniel Somersall). Also on the bottom is Assay office scratch mark. Teapot is in perfect condition with no dents, handle is silver and lid closes perfectly. The patina is original, which we have not touched, but the new owner can clean it, if desired. This has to be one of the nicest finials and teapot we have had the pleasure of selling. Measures 10.5" from tip of spout to tip of handle by 4.5" tall to top of the acorn.
