These 4 pretty plates from Taylor Smith Taylor of Chester, Virginia date to 1952 according to the backstamp. TST began in 1899, went through several changes and was purchased by Anchor Hocking in 1971; then finally closed for good in 1981. This is an unidentified pattern; has 3 pink cabbage roses, and one yellow rose, pale green and brown leaves, blue bells and a gold rim. They measure 6 1/2" across, are in very good condition for their age, no chips or cracks but there is crazing of the clear over glaze at the surface. Back stamp is green wreath design with Taylor Smith Taylor inside and then #8521 which dates them.
