We are pleased to offer for sale this lovely 8" bend-knee walker Colonial Girl that was made by the Madame Alexander doll company from 1962 thru 1964. The doll is all original and has her blond hair in the original set. She has coral lips that have just a slight lip rub on the bottom (can be easily touched up if so desired). She has delicately painted lower lashes and curved brows. Cheek blush, sleep eyes that open and close easily, long molded lashes that are intact and clear eyes with white irises. Her walking mechanism works perfectly and her fingers are all intact with no cracks or chips to her hard plastic body. She wears her complete outfit with blue gown in shiny polished cotton, white collar, apron cap (the white has yellowed a bit over time). Underneath the doll has her original pantaloons and white slip trimmed in white lace, also white stockings and black slip on shoes with two gold ball accents. She has still attached to her left wrist her original straw basket filled with fruit....3 of the pieces of fruit have chipped with age. The outfit is otherwise excellent and tagged with the Madame Alexander tag on the back. The doll comes to you from a SMOKE FREE home and will be a welcome addition to any collection....
