We have recently acquired a large collection of Vintage Couture Clothing and Accessories from the Estate of a New York Socialite. We are very pleased to be able to offer them to our Ruby Lane Customers...We decided that we would offer this combo as one as that was how it was originally worn. This is simply a great casual look to be worn with a skirt or pants. The top is a covered placket full button front, jewel neckline silhouette and has a relaxed drop shoulder with a slightly gathered sleeve into a 1" wide cuff with a single button, square bottom so it can be worn in or out and non-tapered body..no size tag but it measures 40" around the bust area and is the same to the hem, 24' in length from center back to hem, 9" center back to shoulder and 22" from shoulder seam to cuff. The fabric is 100% silk with a tonal "dot" pattern throughout, Tomato Red Ground with box shapes, edged with primary colors...The Shawl Collar Jacket does a a size tag, and reads "M". Very similar to the Two-piece dressing that Beatrice Author wore in both "Maude" and later in the "Golden Girls", it is Cardigan Look, no buttons padded shoulders. Same drop sleeve as the blouse but longer. The Shawl Collar has no backing and falls softly and the bode of the jacket is unlined. It has two 8 " square patch that extend from the side seam to center, and is 40" in length from center back to hem. Both are in excellent condition, no rips, snags or discoloration we can find.
