Black Flapper Hat, Vintage, Ladies Hat circa late 1940's...
If you have ever seen "Some Like it Hot" with Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon, and Tony Curtis will remember this particular style hat. The flapper hat is made of Black Wool by the Merimack Hat Corp, measuring 7" across the opening and rests on top of the head. The body of the hat has been covered in an black mesh encrusted with black -sequins completely hand stitched to the hat. On the right side is a velvet sleeve holding a cluster of black feathers. Overall the hat is in pristine condition, no stains, moth holes etc. we can find...If not worn it makes a sensational display piece...From a smoke free environment
