Wonderful pair of Pendeloque emerald earrings featuring 15kt. tested yellow gold. They are set with 33 emeralds on each earring for a total of 66 stones. There are 3 larger emeralds measuring 1m x 1m square, 1mm x .5mm rectangle and .75mm x 5mm rectangle. The remaining stones are very small and colors range from deep sea green for the larger emeralds to a lighter green for the smaller stones. Length is 5.2 cm and width is 3cm. Weight is 10.4 grams. The gold is baroque style and very decorative. There is a makers mark on the back of the earrings. The emeralds are flawed but show beautifully. Very fine antique condition! In the book "Georgian Jewellery" by Giny Redington Dawes with Olivia Collings and featured on page 109 are an almost identical pair of Spanish gold and emerald lazo drop earrings c.1760.
