Spanish Colonial Foil Backed Faceted Glass Ring

Early example of Spanish influenced South West silver work set with a deep brilliant emerald green foil backed faceted glass stone set in a serrated bezel atop a heavily worked stamped and repoussed silver shank. Tested Sterling silver. Leaf like floral forms tooled texturing and raised spots make this a unique ring dating back to the mid 1800's. Size 8 1/2. Design is slightly worn on the back of the shank. Otherwise perfect condition. Weight is 13.8 grams. Height measures 7/8" and stone 1/2" square.
