Spanish Colonial Foil Backed Green Glass Earrings

Exquisite set of matched drop earring typical of Mexican silver smiths in the Southwest in the 1890's. Utilizing foil backed emerald green glass settings surrounded by hammered and file cut serrated bezels and thin square wire formed loops and dangles. Ear wires are later additions. Minor abrasions to glass surface but notable only with a loop. Otherwise intact and lovely. Weight is 18.1 grams. Length is 3" from top of wire to bottom of earring. Tested Sterling silver.
