Lakota Quilled and Beaded Knife Sheath 1890's

Sioux knife sheath, with its original trade knife, is quilled primarily in red with white, powder blue, deep blue and light orange lane worked quills. A deep chalk blue beading is still intact along the top and sides, although the quills show wear and slight fading from years of use. The overall presentation, however, is strong and beautiful. It is missing a few tin cones in the front but this doesn't effect the overall look. A nice reservation period sheath. Trade knife is 10 1/2" long. Sheath with drops is 10 1/4" long x 2 5/8 wide.
