1930's Bisbee Turquoise Navajo Bracelet

A beautiful small sized early Navajo bracelet set with five natural deep "Bisbee Blue" turquoise stones measuring 1/2" x 5/8". The value of this piece is greatly influenced by the natural Bisbee turquoise with its indicative "chocolate" matrix and intense translucent rich blue hue. Aside from the stunning intensity of the turquoise an interesting feature of this bracelet is the careful construction by the silversmith of the two heavy triangular wire sections which were carefully fitted and soldered together to form each of the two triangular support bars which were then carefully stamped. It's easiest to see this construction from the inside where you will notice a seam line in the center of each large triangular wire. Triangle wire became more common after World War II and this bracelet shows the artists attempt to fabricate this on his anvil. The bracelet was created for a smaller wrist. Measuring 5" with a 1 1/8" gap. 3/4" wide. Tested for sterling silver. Weight is 34 grams.
