This vintage, hand painted porcelain plaque features three cherubs, puttis or angels that are frolicking in a wheat field. The cherubs are all painted in an auburn monochromatic palette. The cherubs are winged and situated in reclining positions with the center cherub holding a bundle of wheat stocks. The detail is quite remarkable given the single color palette and the effect is extraordinary. The artist was quite talented but the painting is not signed.
The plaque is framed in a beautiful gold frame with detailed corners and a brown velvet insert. This would make a lovely addition to any home.
CONDITION: Excellent. No chips or cracks. Putty has been used on the back to hold the plaque secure within the frame.
