Staffordshire Transferware Dinner Plate /Riley/ Girl Musician

It's perfect! How many times can one say that? This lovely 10" medium blue "Girl Musician" plate was made by Riley circa 1825. The transfer is a study in serenity. The girl with the flute, the shepherd kneeling by her side and the various animals all portray the peacefulness of the country life. AND, there are no chips, no cracks, and no restorations! The back has a very light area of in-the-making blue ink like a spilled wave. It's a beauty!
