Staffordshire Transferware Dark Blue Ladle c.1820

This rare ladle (most ladles are rare, they were the first items to break) is a view of Batalha, Portugal". It is by an unknown maker and was potted around 1830. It is of graceful curving form and, except for some minor rubbing to the edge of the bowl and to the end of the handle, is in excellent condition. Diameter of the bowl: 3 inches. Length from end of bowl to end of handle: 7 inches.
