Unique 15" Black wax doll

A very unusual 15" wax doll in red, white and blue clothes. This black doll has brown stationary glass eyes and brown woolly wig. His body is cloth and stuffed with sawdust. His hands and arms are of black wax and unfortunately he has lost most of his feet. Someone put black socks on his stumps. The wax on his face is a little pitted and it really shows up in my pictures with the flash on. His pants are red and white stripes and his jacket is blue with red and white stripes,and little white stars for buttons. The blue has faded, but the inside of the jacket still shows blue. These dolls were made in the early1900's. This doll is a great collector's piece for anyone interested in Americana or black dolls or even wax dolls. He is also a wonderful addition to anyone's sophisticated collection of funny and different looking dolls.
