This is a lovely pair of antique 19th century hand carved wooden plaques depicting bacchanalian putti. One depicts three putti with a goat in a landscape, the other depicts three putti with a wine barrel and a goat, with one putto holding up a cluster of grapes. These plaques appear to be made of walnut, and measure 12 3/8" by 8 5/8". They are carved in high relief with a slightly domed effect to the wood. One plaque does have some cracks along the edge.. and the other plaque has a minor loss to one horn on the goat... very minor for such decorative pieces... you will love them!
