Vintage Zuni Bolo Tie with Pueblo Sun God, Native American

This is a magnificent work of art, either to wear or to add to your collection. The slide of the bolo tie is a colorful likeness of Awonawilona, the Zuni god who became the sun. Inlays of mother of pearl, jet, turquoise, and coral make up the face and the rays. The sun god sets on a backing of sterling silver. The words "Sterling Silver" are etched onto the back. The slide in on a 38" (96.5 cm) rope-style rawhide tie that is capped with sterling silver ends. One of the ends has been compressed and bent, but it does not detract. Not signed.
