Beautiful Murano Glass Bird with Heavy Gold

This Murano glass bird is a beauty. It is made of a clear glass speckled with pale amethyst. Gold foil almost obliterates the underlying bullicante design. The bird is cased in clear glass. There was a small, rectangular residue of glue on bottom that I removed when I washed the bird. The glue was from a missing label. The shape of the label and the decor of the bird make me think this is probably a Barovier & Toso bird. It is in excellent condition, with no damage. The bill, wings, and tail are smooth and round. The bird is 4" (10.2 cm) long and 2.25" (5.7 cm) tall. It weighs 6 oz (170 g). Shipping wt 1 lb 5 oz.
